Today's guest is a long-time entrepreneur in the truest sense of the word. Gabriel Goldstein started his engineering consulting firm almost exactly 17 years ago, just one year after he graduated from UCF with a degree in computer engineering
While most engineering firms are speciality-specific - like electrical engineers, structural engineers or mechanical engineers who focus only on their specialty - Gabriel decided he wanted more variety and hung out his shingle as a consulting engineer to assist inventors with bringing their idea to reality.
One focus of this program is that Gabriel has learned one of the biggest lessons of entrepreneurship - how to pivot. When a road you are traveling with your business is looking at a dead-end, you just pivot and find a different direction to take your business.
The current passion of Gabriel's company is Escape Room Electronics and exactly what that means is discussed in depth during this program. SCORE mentor Jim Murphy shares his advice about successfully pivoting direction and the ability of small businesses to do that while major corporations run into constant road blocks trying to turn their organizations around.
