If you live and work in our beautiful County, you know for a fact that tourism is a major part of our economy. Every year the local news reports ever-increasing visitor counts. New hotels are going up, new high rise condos are being built on every available piece of land, and major investors are streaming into Palm Beach County to build Class A office buildings.

Do you know the financial impact of these tourists? They spend more than $82 BILLION every year on lodging accommodations and in our restaurants. The hospitality industry represents one-quarter of Florida's economy and is the state's number one employer with more than 1.1 million employees.

Today's guest list includes Jodi Cross who is the Executive Director of the Palm Beach Chapter of the Florida Restaurant and Lodging Association (FRLA) which is a nonprofit trade group providing regulatory compliance, food safety training, career-building programs and legislative advocacy to make sure Tallahassee don't inadvertently do something to harm this major economic engine

Also sharing his views on the show is the inimitable Jason Emmett who is the CEO of Duffy's Sports Grill, our homegrown restaurant chain. While Duffy's isn't yet on every street corner, no doubt anyone reading this knows where they can find their closest Duffy's.
